Stream Read Error
Streamread Error

When using P6 Professional through Oracle Cloud hosted products and other code attempts to read from that same cache item, there can be interference that causes stream read errors to occur.

If the source stream's position property changes between the time the destination stream calculates how many bytes are available and the time it actually requests to read those bytes, there will be a stream read error.

Stream Read Errors are mostly due to network latency, poor bandwidth, and/or some other network hindrances that occur in the environment.

This document will address some of the most common situations in which these exceptions occur and steps for troubleshooting these errors.

Note: Stream Read Errors may also be accompanied by other errors such as:

  • <OBJECT> was deleted by another user
  • VTRAG-XXXX-X (TCVirtualTable.RefreshAppend)
  • VTDCF-XXXX-X (TCVirtualTable.DoCalcField)
  • AVAA0-XXXX-X (Access Violation at Address)
