Error Occurs When Assigning Image Files: "There was an error moving the image" or "Failed to assign files. Return code: 26120" (Doc ID 2630393.1)

Symptoms

When attempting to assign images on the media tab, the following error occurs.


The issue can be reproduced by following one of below scenario.

1. Log in to the administration interface
2. Go to 'Catalog' screen
3. Search for a product
4. Select 'Media' tab
5. Select an image
6. Click on 'Select Action', then select 'Move Selected Items'
7. On next screen, select an item on the dropdown 'Move to'
8. Click on 'Save'

or

1. Log in to the administration interface
2. Go to 'Catalog' screen
3. Search for a product
4. Select 'Media' tab
5. Click on the dropdown 'Always Shown', then select 'Camel'
6. Click on 'Add Images' button, then select 'Media Library'
7. Select an image
8. Click on 'Save'
