Submit and Refresh Times are Very High when Using Vlookup in an Ad-hoc Grid (Doc ID 2636377.1)

Symptoms

Users are experiencing very high submit and refresh time for sheets which use vlookup to look up values from other sheets in the same file.

Upon refreshing and submitting data Excel hangs for up to 3-5 minutes. This time can be reduced drastically to under 30 seconds by:

1. Deleting the columns with vlookup
2. Converting cells with vlookup formula to numbers
3. Setting the Excel calculation mode to Manual

This has been replicated across multiple machines, all running windows 10 and Smart View 11.1.2.5.900 and 910 on Office 365.
