Symptoms

All products are not appearing in product picker under Opportunity, Leads  etc.,.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Create / Edit an existing opportunity
2. Under revenue line , add a new product line.
3. Click on search products link , few products are not seen under search results , even though those are part of the base catalog hierarchy.
