Is it Possible to Have the Same Canonical Links for Different Sites? (Doc ID 2640826.1)

Last updated on FEBRUARY 26, 2020

Applies to:

Oracle Commerce Cloud Service - Version N/A and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.
Reported Version: 19.5.9

Goal

A customer will have 2 sites, one for the main store (e.g. site A) which is already live and another site (e.g. site B) for another store.  These 2 sites will sell the same set of products.  The customer would like to have canonical tags for categories and products to point to site A for both sites.

For example:
Site: Site A
Category: air conditioning
Canonical link: <link rel = "canonical" href = "https://www.siteA.com/airconditioning/category/aairconditioning" />

Site: Site B
Category" air conditioning
Canonical link: <link rel = "canonical" href = "https://www.siteA.com/airconditioning/category/airconditioning" />

Is it possible to do?
