Companies with "/index.aspx" in website

There are a lot of companies that have a website with the suffix of /index.aspx. This is then mapping to our sfdc website field. You should be able to easily truncate this off and just give us the website, so unsure why this is still happening for so many companies.

Can the /index.aspx suffix be removed?
