Unable to Configure WebCenter Portal Cloud Service with SES After Migrating from OCI-C to OCI : WebCenter Portal Shows Wrong SES Version (Doc ID 2643754.1)

Unable to configure Secure Enterprise Search with WebCenter Portal Cloud Service after migrating from Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Classic (OCI-C) to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).

When accessing the Tools and Services Search configuration screen the following error is displayed.


Oracle Secure Enterprise Search (SES) release
This WebCenter Portal Server is configured to use Oracle Secure Enterprise Search (SES) release adapter. For best performance and scalability, as well as the latest search features, upgrade to Oracle SES release or later.


The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Migrate from OCI-C to OCI.

  2. Connect to WebCenter Portal as an administrator user.

  3. Go to Administration -> Tools and Services -> Search.
    There you will see the message and would not be able to customize the search service.
