Symptoms

Upon approval of an order, customer is receiving multiple emails instead of 1 for the status update.

STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. On the storefront, log in as an approver.
2. Navigate to my account > orders pending approvals > find your order and approve.
3. After order is approved, customer will receive multiple duplicate emails instead of 1 regarding about order been approved.
