Start of a Session / Task / Step Is Slow when Connecting to an ADW/ATP Database During Execution and Using the ODI Agent (Doc ID 2646793.1)

Last updated on NOVEMBER 07, 2023

Applies to:

Oracle Data Integrator - Version 12.2.1.4.0 to 12.2.1.4.200304 [Release 12c]
Oracle Data Integrator on Marketplace - Version 2.0.2 to 12.2.1.4.200304
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Executing any object using the Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) agent is very slow when the repository is located on an Autonomous Database (ADB) or Autonomous Transaction Processing (ATP) database. Each step may delay up to 30 seconds to start, causing Load Plan (LP) execution time to increase considerably.

This affects both ODI on Marketplace as well as ODI on-premise, and starting with the ODI 12.2.1.4.0 release through the ODI 12.2.1.4.200304 release.

Note: For ODI on MP only, does not apply to any ODI versions released after 12.2.1.4.200413, as the patch and setting have already been included in the instance.
