Child drop down is not showing value until explicitly save

In Loyalty member we have a Picklist (FCL) called Cancelled Reason. This is Constrained by StatusCode.
While changing status from Active to Cancel then Cancelled Reason is not showing value, after clicking on Save button it is showing value.

How can we achieve this?
