Product Strategy

Oracle Essbase deployed on OCI via the Oracle Cloud Marketplace listing is a customer managed offering that allows the customer to deploy the latest versions of Essbase on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure. The most up to date version of Essbase (currently 19c) is available via these listings. Essbase is deployed as part of stack which includes Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) resources such as compute, storage, networking components (LBaas and VCN’s) and Oracle Autonomous Database. These OCI components can be managed by the customer using the OCI Console, SDK or CLI and REST API’s. This provides complete freedom for customers to configure and customize their deployments on the cloud as per their requirements.

Oracle designates Essbase on OCI via the Marketplace as the strategic offering for customers looking to deploy Essbase on Oracle cloud for their custom analytic applications requirements. Oracle shall no longer develop any new features for the Oracle Analytics Cloud – Essbase offering.

Customers of Oracle Analytics Cloud - Essbase shall continue to receive support for existing functionality as per Oracle Cloud Hosting and Delivery Policies (http://www.oracle.com/us/corporate/contracts/ocloud-hosting-delivery-policies-3089853.pdf).

Oracle Analytics Cloud - Essbase customers are encouraged to transition to the strategic Essbase on OCI via Marketplace to benefit from continued product innovation.
