EPRCS - Service Error When Adding Embedded Content via Smart View (Doc ID 2651118.1)

Symptoms

Adding embedded content into a Report Package using Smart View results in message "A service error has occurred. Select "Provide Feedback" and contact oracle Support"

epm.log included with User Diagnostic Report shows error message similar to the following:
