Symptoms
When changing the default log directory for auditd service on OCI Linux instances to be saved on a different file system, the below errors can be seen on the logs when restarting the instance, as a result the auditd.service will not start.
From /var/log/messages
Changes
The default configuration for auditd had been changed to use a new file system mounted on an ISCSI Block volume from OCI.
