Symptoms
On Oracle Fusion Tax Cloud Service, using tax rates upload template is overriding the parent geography name on the tax jurisdictions creating incorrect jurisdictions.
Example:
Record Imported:
- Parent Geography Type: COUNTY.
- Parent Geography Name: Contra Costa.
- Geography Name: Richmond.
Expected record after import:
- Parent Geography Type: COUNTY.
- Parent Geography Name: Contra Costa.
- Geography Name: Richmond.
Imported record (Incorrect):
- Parent Geography Type: COUNTY.
- Parent Geography Name: BERKSHIRE.
- Geography Name: Richmond.
The incorrect jurisdiction is created with incorrect geography.
Expected Behavior
Expecting to be have jurisdictions imported correctly.
Step to Reproduce
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
- On Navigator
- Go to Setup and Maintenance.
- Query by Task: Manage Tax Rates.
- Click on Rapid Setup spreadsheets.
- Choose Upload Tax rules from a Spreadsheet.
- Review the process ends successfully.
- Go to Setup and Maintenance.
- Query by Task: Manage Tax Jurisdictions.
- Query the tax jurisdiction imported and observed the parent was assigned incorrectly.
