EPRCS: MR Reports gives error: "Unable to communicate with the data source" Even After Resetting Password (Doc ID 2659516.1)

Symptoms

MR Reports give error: "Unable to communicate with the data source".

The admin password for the data source expired. After resetting the admin password the connection from the data source was successful for all the cubes. However, when opening the MR reports, the reports are still failing with the error: "Unable to communicate with the data source".
