Symptoms

Using the IDCS EBS Assertor when attempting to connect via SSO and utilize sub menus from the main menu the sub menu items are not rendered and the following error occurs.

"Error while invoking Main Menu
Application: FND, Message Name: FND_SESSION_MGR_INST_ERROR"

STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

1. Deploy EBS Asserter

2. Configure SSO between EBS Asserter and IDCS

3. Login through IDCS SSO Federation using EBS Assertor

4. Click any sub menu item and the error is repeatedly returned

Note, if logged into EBS directly, not though IDCS/SSO/EBS Asserter, all menus can be navigated without error.
