Is it possible to change default Depreciation Expense Account?

Goal
On : 11.13.20.01.0 version, Set Up Project Management
After default, user is not able to override any of the segment values of Depreciation Expense Account.
Even if the user updates the values, then on save and close, It again gets defaulted based on the asset category logic.
Customer wants to have the overriding option after the default of CoA Combination happens. Is it possible?
