Goal

Cancel backorders option is configured at subinventory level to cancel the transfer order backorders when on-hand balance is insufficient.
Quantity on transfer order line is decremented automatically by system after confirm pick wave with insufficient stock balance. But  decremented quantity still need to be tracked even if it is insufficient and updated by system.

For example, if the required quantity is 24, and there's only 20 pieces available, then the transfer order line is updated to 20 without any place holding the decremented 4 pieces and it's hard  to track the original quantity any more.

Suggest how to track the original quantity, or anything (like a history record) that is related to the decremented quantity.
