How can I delete the revenue owner of an opportunity?

Customer has two people in the Sales Team of an opportunity:
- SalesPerson 1: owner and primary person of the Sales Team
- SalesPerson 2: revenue owner

When they try to delete SalesPerson 2 from the Sales Team of the Opportunity it arises an error "The revenue owner must be a member of the opportunity sales team. (MOO-450126)"

STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Opportunity with a scenario as follows:
- SalesPerson 1: owner and primary person of the Sales Team
- SalesPerson 2: revenue owner

2. Delete the SalesPerson2 from the Sales Team of the Opportunity
Observe the error being thrown.
