CAMT053V2 Statement File Import Failing Due to Balance Date (Doc ID 2670337.1)

Symptoms

When importing the bank statement in camt.053.001.02 format, the following error occurs:

ERROR [BALANCE_DATE_MISSING], Statement_Header_Id[XXX], [The balance date for balance code XXX is invalid because it's missing.]

Due to this issue, users cannot import bank statements.
