Editing Connection Pool Based On Remote Data Gateway (RDG) In Oracle Analytics Fails (Doc ID 2670660.1)

Symptoms

While editing the RPD connection pool which is based on remote data gateway (RDG), it fails with below error :

In order to properly view or edit properties of this connection pool, you need first to enable Java Datasources in NQSConfig.INI or load them (see File menu).


Administration tool log shows below error :

[OBIS] [NOTIFICATION:1] [] [] [ecid: ] [sik: service1] [tid: <TID>]  [nQSError: 100037] Unknown Call interface type JDBC (Direct Driver) in connection pool Oracle Data Warehouse Repository Initblocks Connection Pool.


However the analytics reports can fetch data from on-premise database via RDG without any issues.
