Why Does The EMPLOYEE Role Have Access To Route Planning UI (Doc ID 2670993.1)

Last updated on MAY 15, 2020

Applies to:

Oracle Warehouse Management Enterprise Edition Cloud Service - Version 20.2 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

The goal of this document is to explain why the Route Planning UI was able to be accessed by a User with an Employee Role.

Custom group, Warehouse Supervisor, has excess access for the EMPLOYEE role - Route Planning UI.

A custom group called Warehouse Supervisor was created and assigned this to a user called TestWarehouse.Supervisor with the associated EMPLOYEE role. When the user navigates to the Route Planning UI, they are able to add a record, import from route, export to route, validate, add store to routes, and click on All details button. We have not granted any access to the group permissions for Route Planning. How can we remove access to these buttons of add, import from route, validate etc.?

EXPECTED BEHAVIOR
-----------------------
Expectation for Employee Role is to not be able to create routes.

STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Create a Group Assign a User with Employee Role
2. User has full access to Route Planning

This was a Code issue fixed in:

Bug 31026753 - FOR EMPLOYEE ROLE MAKE ROUTE PLANNING READ ONLY
