BPM Task Status Still Open And Assigned When Approving Enrollment Via Web Service Call

Symptoms
BPM Task created still remains assigned and is not completed for the corresponding completed program enrollment approvals.
Requirement to Approve Program Enrollments via Webservice.
Were able to achieve this by making a REST API call to set the EnrollmentStatus field to APPROVED.
But even after approving the enrollment, the BPM Task created still remains assigned and is not completed.
Could you please let us know the fields and field values to pass to move the task status to completed and approving the request the same time.
EXPECTED BEHAVIOR

BPM Worklist tasks should be in status = completed as well

Due to this issue, users are allowed to still click on Claim, even though this is already processed and completed
