OMC Triggers Frequent Alert Messages About Data Not Received From Agent

OMC Infrastructure Monitoring
Gateway agent and Cloud agent version 1.38 / 1.39.
There are frequent alerts being triggered from OMC for the gateway agent and cloud agent as below:
Alert Message OMC has not received data from <AGENTHOST>:<PORT> for 2 minutes. It could be down or there could be network issues that impact uploading of data.
Raised On <DATE and TIMESTAMP>
Alert Rule <RULE RELATED TO ENTITY AVAILABILITY>
Gateway Agents as well as Cloud Agents have been found to be UP and RUNNING during the same <DATE and TIMESTAMP>.
Following errors in plenty and are noticed in the agent log(gcagent.log):
2020-03-31 14:12:27,394 [88725:41A558CE] DEBUG - unable to close request output stream: java.net.SocketException: Socket is closed
Also the agent logs report below error for few uploads intermittently:
HTTP/1.1 502 Proxy Error
