Symptoms

When running commands using MaxL, getting the following error messages:

  ERROR - 1040025 - Invalid platform [<xxxx>]. An application protocol error might exist between server and client processes..
  ERROR - 1040065 - Protocol mismatch may occur if a client other than an Essbase Client tries to access Essbase or if the packet is corrupted..

Note: If a calculation was being run, it continues on the server but the MaxL session ends. This behavior is not limited to MaxL and can happen with APS requests, Smart View etc.
