Symptoms

On : 11.13.20.01.0 version, Global Human Resources

When attempting to promote,
the following error occurs.

ERROR
-----------------------
 ORABPEL-30006 Error in getting manager of user. The manager of user (USERNAME) could not be retrieved for the task (TASK NUMBER). The task belongs to the workflow default/HcmEmploymentPromotionsComposite!11.13.19.10.0/PromotionsApproval. Make sure that user (USERNAME) is valid and that the manager for user (USERNAME) is defined in the user directory.

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. submit promotion
2. Receive error
