CSM Migration From Test to Production Failed Import : An application error occurred. See the incident log for more information. Exception Occurred during ADF backup (Doc ID 2687661.1)

Symptoms

CSM migration to move the customization by importing the jar file from TEST to PRODUCTION cause incident error.


STEPS

1. Create and download the jar file from TEST instance :
    Navigator > Configuration > Migration > Outgoing > Create Migration Set > Move All Changes > Create Configuration Set
       Note: Unchecked any Module that does not have changes ( eg. Business Intelligence content , Migrate Enterprise Scheduler Service (ESS) Module, Industry solution extensions - internal use only )
               This will reduce the size of the jar file and processing time.

2. Import the jar file into PRODUCTION instance :
    Navigator > Configuration > Migration > Incoming > Upload Migration Set
    a. Upload the jar file
    b. Click on [ Import ]
    c. Get message "You have sandboxes associated with Application Composer in your target environment. After import, you can't publish these sandboxes. Do you want to continue? [ Yes ] [ No ]"
    d. Click on [ Yes ] and get incident error message :
        An application error occurred. See the incident log for more information.
        An application error has occurred. Your help desk can use the following information to obtain a more detailed description of this incident : 31, Server Domain : FADomain, Server Instance : UIServer_HA, Application Name: ORA_FSCM_UIAPP

       

    e. After click [ OK ] on the incident popup, get again the publish sandboxes popup message again.  User then click on [ Yes ] again.

       

    f. After a while, process status shows "Backup Failed"

    g. Click on [ Import ] again and error.

    h. View the log file shows :

3. If click on [ Cancel ] import on the failed import, get following message "This will cancel the import. Do you want to continue?".  Click on [ Yes ] and get another incident error message.
