Supplier Users Are Unable to Login to Oracle Social Network and Other Users Are Unable to Add the Supplier Users to Conversations or Social Objects

After adding the email domain of the supplier users to the Oracle Social Network (OSN) "External Collaboration" employee/guest user domain area and creating the new supplier users on the Fusion Applications (FA) supplier portal, the supplier users are not able to access OSN. Attempts to invite them to join conversations in OSN also fail. They can login and access supplier portal in FA.
While trying to add supplier users to FA social objects residing in OSN, an error similar to the following is received (in this example the object is a Requisition):
When supplier users attempt to log in to OSN they are prompted again to log in.
Problem happens only to the users who are created as supplier users, other users on the same domain as the supplier contact do not have any issue.
