Symptoms
Users observe that Cost Rollup fails with error and it does not create any rollup cost due to this error.
This can occur when running Restore Rolled-up Costs or Roll up Costs programs.
Error
on ScenarioProcessor/insertRollupCosts_CWOO: ORA-01438: value larger than specified precision allowed for this column.
Steps To Reproduce
1. Create 3 items:
- Item-A
- Item-B
- Item-AB (this item has have the item structure with Item-A and Item-B)
2. Create work definition for the Item-AB.
3. While adding the Item-A, change the material sequence number to 1000000000 in the Item Master (for Discrete Manufacturing) or work definition (for Process Manufacturing).
(any material sequence number greater than 9 digits long).
4. Supply Chain Execution > Cost Management
5. Task: Manage Cost Scenario
6. Create Scenario with selective item rollup for Item-AB.
7. Run the Cost Roll Up (Restore Rolled-up Costs or Roll up Costs).
8. Job ends in reported error.
