' ItemCre' Messages Fail in MPS_STAGED_MESSAGE With 'UOM not found' Error (Doc ID 2689830.1)

When attempting to process ItemCre messages from Retail Merchandising Cloud, the following error occurs.

ERROR-2636  Time: 7/9/20 1:26 AM  Type: SimServerException   Message: Error processing message! [Inbound: true, MessageType: ItemCre, BusinessId: xxxxxxxx]   Root Cause: UOM not found! UOM : IN
oracle.retail.sim.common.core.SimServerException: UOM not found! UOM : IN
       at oracle.retail.sim.server.integration.consumer.items.ItemConsumer.buildUomNotExistsException(Unknown Source)
       at oracle.retail.sim.server.integration.consumer.items.ItemCreateConsumer.validateUom(Unknown Source)
       at oracle.retail.sim.server.integration.consumer.items.ItemCreateConsumer.handleMessage(Unknown Source)
       at oracle.retail.sim.server.integration.consumer.items.ItemCreateConsumer.handleMessage(Unknown Source)
       at oracle.retail.sim.server.integration.consumer.SimMessageConsumerProviderImpl.consume(Unknown Source)
       at oracle.retail.sim.service.mps.SimMessageProcessHandler.handleOperation(Unknown Source)

Steps to Reproduce:

1. Create a item in RMS with Item Supplier country dimensions defined and approve it.
2. Notice that the item fails in MPS STAGED MESSAGE table with 'UOM not found' error.
