Microsoft Calendar Adapter returns HTTP 401 Unauthorized

Having followed the steps in the documentation to set up a connection for the Microsoft Calendar adapter, the following error is returned when used in an integration:

401

Steps completed:

Set up App Registration in Azure
Set up an Outlook account
Configured the OIC Connection with client id, client secret and scopes. Provided Consent. Tested connection successfully
Ran the integration - got HTTP 401

Checked the permissions on Azure and noted https://graph... not https://outlook....
Updated Connection to use graph not outlook in Scopes, provided consent and got Access Allowed OIC screen
Tested again with same payload and still get an unauthorized error
Checked Azure again and found Scopes like https://outlook.office365.com/Calendars.Read
Added the https://outlook.office365.com scopes to the OIC connection but when providing consent I get Authorization Failed: invalid_scope. The provided resource value for the input parameter 'scope' is not valid
Tested with just the https://outlook.office365.com permissions but got the same Authorization Failed: invalid_scope. The provided resource value for the input parameter 'scope' is not valid error
