FAQ - DBHome size reduction due to overprovisioning issue (Doc ID 2695218.1)

Last updated on SEPTEMBER 24, 2020

Applies to:

Oracle Cloud at Customer - Version N/A to N/A
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Purpose

Oracle Documentation describes that the max configurable DBHome size of all the VM Clusters is 1.1 TB on each DOM0
https://docs.oracle.com/en/cloud/cloud-at-customer/exadata-cloud-at-customer/exacc/administer-clusters.html#GUID-5B83F906-0D8A-401A-8E19-46EC45C92B07

Above DOC lacks details on how this max DBhome size gets affected based on how many clusters are configured, because as the number of clusters or VMs on each DOM0 increases, it affects the space used by u01 and Grid Infrastructure on DOM0 and in turn has direct impact on the 1.1TB max usable value . This MOS note is to provide additional details about it.

Below document share more detail information about the DBHome size and recommended values based on number of VM cluster -
