Contract Still Requires Signature with 'Enable Electronic Signature' Check Box Unchecked (Doc ID 2701549.1)

Goal

What is the purpose of disabling 'Enable electronic signature' check box within the contract, if the contract still requires signature?

We had amended the contract to add the attachments in contract and uncheck the “Enable electronic signature” check box.
After that the user submit the contract, why still it is going to pending signature status?
