Item Hierarchy Group Code Not Updating As Per Input ITM File

Symptoms
ACTUAL BEHAVIOR
---------------
It was noticed that a number of items where the item hierarchy group code is populated in the load file, were not getting uploaded after loading and processing.
These fields are not in the protected tab.
EXPECTED BEHAVIOR
-----------------------
All the items are expected to have the Item Hierarchy Group Code updated.
STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. From the Input Interface, use ITM input file to upload the payload.
2. After uploading, select the record and click on Run Interface.
3. Item shows as “update” but Item Hierarchy Group Code is not updated for Item.
