Symptoms
Creating an account alias using Manage Account Alias UI throws the below error.
Recompiling "Account Alias Flexfield" does not resolve the issue.
ERROR

Cannot invoke method getAttribute() on null object
STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Navigate to Setup and Maintenance
2. Inventory Management > Manage Account Aliases
3. Click on Actions > Create
4. See the above error.
