P6 Professional Frequently Crashes with Error "P6 Professional has stopped working" (Doc ID 2712328.1)

Symptoms

Users experience frequent P6 Professional crashes with the following error when trying to copy a project or add project as a baseline (client-side Cache is disabled).

Primavera P6 Professional has stopped working.
