Symptoms

The following error occurs when attempting to assign a role or resource within P6 Professional:

• EVENT CODE: 
  • TPODC-3009-F   --the string of numbers/letter after TPODC can vary.
    

• MESSAGE: 
  • TPrmObjectDefCollection.addObjectDef: Object Mismatch.
  • Name=xxxx    --where xxxx is the internal name of a user defined field causing the issue

STEPS TO REPRODUCE:

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

1. Login to P6 Professional.
2. Open a project.
3. From Activities page, attempt to assign a resource or role to an activity.
4. Note the exception which occurs.

ADDITIONAL SYMPTOMS:

• Merge Reflection into Source Project fails as follows:
  • Initiate Merge.
  • Message:  Running Batch Append Query for [Number] Tables.
• Merge Fails instantly at this message - message only shows for less than a second before failure:
  • Error:  Merge process failed. See log file for details.
  • Log file:  <blank> (and the Merge log file “prmReflectionMerge.log” does not exist when the User searches for it).
• Then another Error:  AVAA0-3508-4.
