20D -> 21A Release Delivery Re-Alignment Announcement

Hello Oracle CPQ Cloud Customer,

What are we announcing?

In an effort to align the delivery of Oracle CPQ releases with those of Oracle Fusion applications in 2021, Oracle CPQ is adjusting upcoming release dates. 2021 releases will be generally available [GA] approximately 4-6 weeks earlier than in prior years. In addition, we are publishing the target GA dates well in-advance, to assist your planning. To facilitate this change, Oracle CPQ is renaming its November 2020 release from “20D” to “21A”. In spite of the name change, 21A will GA in November 2020. Future “A” releases will GA January 1 of their respective calendar year. The matrix that follows outlines upcoming releases and their target GA dates.

How you can prepare for this change:

  • Be aware that the release CPQ delivers in November 2020 will now be called “21A” rather than “20D”.
  • If you have not done so already, please subscribe to CPQ Events on Oracle Customer Connect to receive alerts for release readiness webinar content, as soon as it is scheduled. The 21A release readiness webinar is planned for November and will be scheduled soon.
  • Customers that leverage Oracle CPQ and Oracle Fusion applications will benefit from the GA release dates of both products being in sync, as of 2021.
Sincerely,
Oracle CPQ Cloud Support
