Triggers being triggered in the wrong order

We have a before update object trigger that is assigning a value to a custom field. We have another before update object trigger that is taking the value from the previous custom field and adds it to other fields and then populates a different custom field. This field is then displayed on the Landing page. The field is not being populated with the correct amount until we make 2 changes to the opportunity.
