In HR CORE, the Positions are filter according to the Line Manager position hierarchy. This means that the Line Manager can assign a new position for an employee according to the position hierarchy. He cannot select a position that, for example, is higher than his position. In addition, the Positions have assigned a default grade for all of them. This means, that when the Line Manager select a position, its default grade is associated automatically.

However, in COMPENSATION this is not the case. If the Line Manager wants to select a PROPOSED POSITION, he/she, can see the whole list of positions. They are not filtered by position hierarchy. And he/she is also able to select any GRADE from the drop down list.   He should only be able to select the default grade which has been set in CORE for that position.
 

Does Compensation have the same behavior that CORE HR has in which the position hierarchy is working?
