Synchronization With O365 Is Canceling Appointments

In Engagement an appointment was created for October 16 at 2:00 pm, the client received the notification informing about the meeting, ok perfect
However, yesterday, October 21, the client received a notification saying that the appointment was canceled. But at no time was it canceled in Engagement.
Why does this happen and how can we avoid it?
