Goal

Can a Customer Ship to Address be captured when entering an order. The address should not be added to the Customer master in TCA as it is a single user address.

A dealer may order a number of units from the business and indicate where the shipments should be delivered. These are customers of the dealer, not necessarily the business. The interaction is between he client and the dealer, the only time the one-time address would be used would be for service requests. As the end customers are associated with the dealer the shipping addresses should not need to be created and stored in the Customer Master.

Order creation via API and FBDI can enable addresses to be defined as orders are created but these are then stored in the customer master. We need to be able to capture an address on the order that can be used for tax purposes, stored in the Installed Base but not the customer hub.

Goods are sold via ecommerce channels to both B2B and B2C customers.  B2B customers need the ability to select ship-to addresses for their facilities (stored in the customer master) or enter a one-time ship-to addresses for their end customers (not intended for repeated use).  When selecting a ship-to for their facilities, B2B customers do not want to see a cluttered list that includes previous one-time ship-to addresses.

Goods sold by manually entering the order in order management also need the ability to enter a one-time ship-to address that does not get added to the customer master, as some B2B customers that normally use the ecommerce channel will also contact a call center for their order to be manually entered.

The current product does not allow an order to be captured referencing a one-time ship-to address.  It requires the address to be defined in the customer master ahead of manual order entry.  For orders received via integration from an external system, it adds the address to the customer master if the address did not already exist.  This will cause the business to perform extra administration to inactivate these addresses so that they are not visible for future shopping on the ecommerce site.  Pre-existing ER 25074939 (ADD SHIP-TO LOCATION ADDRESS FROM SALES ORDER UI) does not meet our needs because it still adds the address to the customer master.
