File Upload Poller Batch (C1-FPOLR ) Should Have Ability To Poll For Defined Interval Of Time (Doc ID 2732906.1)

Last updated on DECEMBER 10, 2020

Oracle Financial Services Revenue Management and Billing Cloud Service - Version NA and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

C1-FPOLR (File Upload Poller Batch) only checks for the Feed File at the shared directory as soon as it is triggered and sends an immediate email notification for success or failure. It does not wait at all before terminating, thus giving no time to upload the file. Could we please enhance poller batch and have below mentioned functionality?

Have an option of providing polling interval in seconds. When provided, batch should keep polling every x seconds until file is received (without being terminated as long as file is received).
Have an option of providing time out (or hard stop time) in seconds. When provided, batch should keep polling every x seconds until file is received or time out limit is reached.
When time out is provided, polling interval must be made mandatory or default interval should be taken, say 60 seconds.
When both - polling interval and time out parameters are not provided, batch should behave as it is currently. i.e. only checks for the Feed File at the shared directory as soon as it is triggered and sends an immediate email notification for success or failure (Ability to send Email Notifications for both Success & Failure (Existing Feature)).

This particular functionality is missing in ORMB 2.7.0.1 and higher versions as well.
