Symptoms

One or more problems arise after installing Oracle Smart View For Office using a custom package (developed using a third-party utility):

> Smart View cannot be uninstalled via Control Panel because it does not show as an entry under "Programs and Features" in Windows.
> The Smart View add-in does not show in Excel or other MS Office applications.
> Smart View preferences are not set to the standard chosen by your organization.
> Additional similar issues may be observed.

Changes

Smart View was recently installed/upgraded.
