Symptoms
In the load file, there are extra rows that contain information specific for SOX compliance. For business audit reasons, this information needs to be referenced in each metadata import file.
The issue arises when a final row is added which shows total number of records imported. The import file is in excel format and the lines are not being ignored and therefore failing to import.
Error Message: Dimension Member name "#--!" for Dimension "<DimensionName>" contains a forward slash or start with special characters. Such names are not supported.
Changes
Added extra lines in the import load file, which are comments and not actual metadata.
