OMC: Japanese Characters in IDCS Audit Log are Garbled in Oracle Management Cloud Log Analytics (Doc ID 2740068.1)

Symptoms

Uploading an IDCS audit log to Oracle Management Cloud (OMC) Log Analytics using the Cloud Agent, Japanese characters are garbled in the Histogram display.



The IDCS audit log is uploaded using the following procedure.

1. Use the REST API in batch on on premise host to get the IDCS audit log
2. Acquire the audit log output as a file in the batch process
3. Upload the output file to OMC through the Cloud Agent

When the same log file is uploaded with "Log Analytics"-"Log Management"-"Upload" in OMC, the Japanese characters are displayed without a problem.
