Students often sign up for classes well ahead of time and during that time they often forget they signed up. This causes a huge headache in managing late drop requests and refunds.

The communication section of SMC is a logical place to set up automatic reminders to students that their class is approaching. This would work best based on Academic Organization. Each organization would then be able to manage the specifics of how the reminders are sent and what is included.
