Purpose
This document is for customers who would like to upload Incentive Compensation Rules (Credit Rules/ Rollup Rules/ Team Rules/ Classification Rules/ Participant Assignment Rules/ Analyst Hierarchy Rules) directly from a spreadsheet instead of creating a csv file and then using the Import Management UI. From this document you can download the Microsoft Excel macro and the required .jar file that you can use to import Rules, Rule Assignments and Rule Qualifying Attributes. These Oracle-provided files are designed to simplify the import of data sets up to a range of 100,000 records. The macros provide validation for some fields as you enter your data. Other validation is done after you submit your import. You can generate a file import activity directly from each tab of the macro to submit a rule hierarchy import, a rule assignment import or a rule qualifying criteria import and monitor import progress. Once the import finishes, the macro identifies error records if any. You can correct the error records and re-submit the import which will only process the non-imported records.
