Symptoms

ACTUAL BEHAVIOR
---------------

The Data Model queries join Finish Date output from projects with two separate codes. The output shows a column for <CODE1> Finish Date and <CODE2> Finish Date. Projects with <CODE1> Finish Date also have a value populated for <CODE2> Finish Date and vice versa.

EXPECTED BEHAVIOR
-----------------------

Projects with <CODE1> Finish Date should show a null value in the <CODE2> Finish Date column. Instead, <CODE2> Finish Date is being populated with a date value.
Projects with <CODE2> Finish Date should show a null value in the <CODE1> Finish Date column. Instead, <CODE1> Finish Date is being populated with a date value.

STEPS
----------

  1. Export XML data from the Data Model
  2. Use BI Publisher Excel add in to create template
  3. During preview, notice that is not giving the correct output, missing nulls and affecting data integrity by bringing data into null values from non-null records.

OR

  1. Create a report in the BI Publisher using the same data model and table template as the one indicated above
  2. Export the output xlsx
  3. Notice that it has the wrong values. Nulls are handled incorrectly.
