This article will provide detailed steps, deliverables and instructions that clients MUST follow and complete in order to launch a CX Commerce site to the public. We have also included additional information in the form of best practices, helpful links and and implementation oversight checklist to help you succesfully launch your website.

As part of your decision to leverage Oracle’s CX Commerce Implementation program there are several key process flows and informational context to be aware of as you kick off the implementation with your commerce partner.
In order to gather the necessary information for your launch operationally you will need to create specific Service Requests “SR” in My Oracle Support to facilitate your launch. These tasks are independent of any development, UAT or application related elements of the implementation but are required in order to successfully launch your commerce site to the public. It is your responsibility to provide the required information per the timeframe of each task prior to launch. This is to ensure the launch date is first and foremost successful, but also approved for cutover. Any delays in completing these tasks on time will impact the launch date.
The implementation tasks include procuring an SSL certificate for your production site which is included in your contract. Setting up your 301 redirects, maintenance page and URL apex aliasing if needed and details of your launch. You will need to notify Oracle by opening up Services Requests for each task in My Oracle Support. The timeline and details for each Service Request are noted below and should be titled with your company name and the specific implementation task.
The timely return of the required information is critical so Oracle can complete the implementation tasks to ensure your successful launch. Oracle will not provide the necessary DNS information until these tasks are completed so please ensure they are incorporated into your project plans accordingly.
